Student showcase

COVENTRY- Coventry High School will be holding its Fifth Annual E-Portfolio Open House on Wednesday, March 13 in the school Library Media Center from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Students will showcase their Electronic Portfolios on laptops and computers and are evaluated by staff in a “Science-Fair” atmosphere. The public is cordially invited to attend and view the many E-Portfolios. The E-Portfolio is more than a graduation requirement. This initiative developed by a group of teachers at Coventry High School challenges students to display a mastery of 21st Century Learning Skills by showcasing their work in a multi-media format. By far, the most popular avenue students have chosen is to create a website. Essential to the E-Portfolio experience is that students are called on to reflect about how their work embodies the social and civic expectations that make up the Coventry High School’s Mission Statement. Information about the E-Portfolio can be found at http://www.coventrypublicschools.org/chs/eportfolio/E-PORTFOLIO.html.
