STORRS- “The Gatsby Era: Art, Literature, and the Pursuit of the American Dream” is the theme of the March 15 Friday Art Forum at The William Benton Museum of Art at the University of Connecticut. The discussion complements the museum’s current exhibition Millionaires and Mechanics, Bootleggers and Flappers: Speaking of The Great Gatsby. The program runs from 5 to 7 p.m. Program moderator is Veronica Makowsky, Professor, Department of English at UConn and expert in twentieth-century American literature. Panel members are Eduardo Canedo, Assistant Professor of History at UConn and a specialist in the areas of political and economic history of the twentieth-century United States, and Arthur Wright, Emeritus Professor of Economics at UConn, researcher, editor and regular contributor to The Connecticut Economy.
