Visitor restrictions lifted

NORWICH – Due to decreasing flu activity in the community, the Backus Health System Monday lifted its visitor restrictions. This includes the main hospital and all satellite locations. Backus originally enacted restrictions on Dec. 14, 2012 to help protect patients, visitors and staff from the virus during what was a severe flu season. The flu season is not over, and precautions should still be taken to limit the spread of germs. The best way to protect against the flu are washing hands frequently, covering a cough and staying home when sick.
