Antique appraisal day

EAST HAMPTON- The Chatham Historical Society will sponsor its 18th annual Antique Appraisal Day on Saturday, March 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the community room in the East Hampton Library, 105 Main Street, East Hampton. Verbal appraisals will be offered on furniture, glassware, lamps, china, teddy bears, dolls, quilts, artwork and other treasures, for a suggested donation of $5 per item. There will be four expert appraisers on site, including Bill Barrows of Thomas Barrows and Sons Ltd. of Portland, Larry Shapiro of Glastonbury Appraisals, Tim Verre of Hiram Griswold Antiques in Wethersfield and R. J. Weston of Weston's Antiques in Coventry. Proceeds will benefit the continual upkeep of the Society's museum and one room schoolhouse on Bevin Boulevard. Light refreshments will be served.
