COLCHESTER- Cragin Memorial Library will host a screening of the film Genetic Roulette: The Gamble of Our Lives on Thursday, March 28, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. This event is co-sponsored with the Eastern Connecticut Vegetarian Society, and is free and open to the public. Evidence points to genetically modified organisms (GMOs) as a major contributor to rising disease rates in the U.S. population, especially among children. Gastrointestinal disorders, allergies, inflammatory diseases, and infertility are just some of the problems implicated in humans, pets, livestock, and lab animals that eat genetically modified soybeans and corn. Non-GMO snacks will be provided. No registration is required. For further information, please call the library at 860-537-5752.
