ENFIELD - The 17th Annual Enfield Athletic Hall of Fame Celebrity Golf Classic will be held on Saturday, May 4 at the Oak Ridge Country Club in Feeding Hills, Mass. This year, the Golf Classic will feature: 3-time All-Star and 1968 World Series champ Dick McAuliffe; 12-year NHL/WHA veteran and former Bruin and Whaler Doug Roberts; 6-year MLB veteran Billy Jo Robidoux; Paul D’Amato, who portrayed Tim “Dr. Hook” McCracken in the classic 1977 hockey movie, “Slap Shot”; and Chris Murney, who portrayed Long Island Ducks goaltender Tommy Hanrahan in “Slap Shot.” Celebrities are scheduled to play, subject to change. Registration begins at 11:15 a.m. There will be a scramble format with prizes for winning teams: closest to the pin and Long Drive contests; par 3 50/50; contest; and a hole-in-one prizes including a new car. Special auctions for Red Sox tickets and Yankees tickets. Lunch, dinner, autographs/photos, and your opportunity to help our local Enfield and Fermi High graduating seniors.Proceeds will benefit the Enfield Athletic Hall of Fame scholarships and the Amy Romano Memorial Scholarship.
