MANCHESTER - The Second Congregational Church of Manchester, 385 N. Main Street, Manchester would like to announce their Holy Week events: Palm Sunday, on March 24 at 10 a.m. there will be special music featuring a handbell solo by Linda Grey; distribution of Palms; and a guest minister, Rev. Arthur Dunham; Maundy Thursday, March 28 at 6 p.m. there will be a bread and soup supper in the library and at 7 p.m. Service of Tenebrae and Holy Communion in the chapel. Following the service there will be a showing of excerpts from the film, "Jesus of Nazareth," and discussion in the Pastor’s office; Good Friday, March 29, church members will be participating in the Way of the Cross which begins at Center Congregational Church, UCC at 11 a.m.; and on Easter Sunday, March 31 at 10 a.m., Blossoming the Cross will be held. Please bring a cut flower, with special music featuring local musician Heather Titus and The Note Worthy handbell ensemble.
