EAST WINDSOR - A videotape by Chris Corkum, local baseball player, coach, and entrepreneur, will be the shown at the March 30 meeting of the East Windsor Historical Society. The program, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the Scantic Academy Museum, 115 Scantic Rd., East Windsor and begins at 10 a.m. The tape explores the evolution of baseball equipment over the past century and features vintage equipment from Corkum’s own collection. Related items from the East Windsor High School collections will also be on view. Corkum has spoken to the Society in the past about the Civil War, World War I, and the evolution of long arms, as well as baseball. East Windsor Historical Society President Michael Hunt said the tape should be of special interest to all local baseball players and fans.
