Rachel's Challenge

East Hartford - posted Mar, 22 2013

EAST HARTFORD - Rachel’s Challenge is coming to East Hartford High School on April 2. Rachel Scott was the first person killed at Columbine High School in 1999. Her acts of kindness and compassion, coupled with the contents of her six diaries, have become the foundation for one of the most life-changing school programs in America. Rachel’s Challenge has impacted schools all across the nation by letting students know they have the power to make permanent, positive and educational changes in their schools and communities. There will be a student assembly for 9th and 10th grade students during the day, followed by a community event in the evening. The event will be held at 7 p.m. in the East Hartford High School auditorium. Parents, guardians and the community are invited to attend. Help start a chain reaction of kindness and compassion in school that will connect with every area of our community.
