Lunch Bunch participates in Feinstein Challenge

ENFIELD - Summer Lunch Bunch 2013, a USDA sponsored free lunch outreach program for children ages 18 and under, is participating in the 16th annual Feinstein Challenge. The challenge’s $1 million prize, sponsored by Rhode Island philanthropist Alan Feinstein, will be split among participating nonprofit hunger-fighting agencies nationwide for donations collected between March 1 and April 30. During the Feinstein Challenge, for every monetary and in-kind donation received or pledged by April 30 Summer Lunch Bunch is eligible to receive a percentage of the value collected from the Feinstein Foundation. Several fundraisers are planned for Summer Lunch Bunch 2013 and information is available at www.erfc.us. All donations, which will be used toward the Feinstein Challenge, can also be made directly online or by emailing www.erfc.us. Summer Lunch Bunch, a program of ERfC, is provided free of charge and supported through community donations, sponsorships and collaborative grants. In-kind donations may be dropped off at the ERfC administration office located at 50 Post Office Road, Enfield, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. or to make arrangements for pick-up call 860-253-9935.
