Relay for Life

TOLLAND - On Thursday, April 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Tolland High School cafeteria, a Team Captain Meeting will be held for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Tolland County. Relay For Life takes place from 4 p.m. on June 8 until 4 p.m. on June 9 at Tolland High School. Relay For Life events are held overnight as individuals and teams camp out at an athletic track, park or other gathering area, with the goal of keeping at least one team member on the track or pathway at all times throughout the evening. Teams do most of their fundraising prior to the event, but teams also hold creative fundraisers at their campsites during the Relay. People from all walks of life come together with a common goal of furthering the American Cancer Society’s efforts to save lives by helping people stay well, by helping them get well, by finding cures and by fighting back. Information about how to form a team or become involved in Relay For Life is available at or by calling 1-800-227-2345.
