Reconstruction of Kelly Road

South Windsor - posted Mar, 27 2013

SOUTH WINDSOR - The reconstruction of Kelly Road from the intersection of Avery Street to the Vernon town line continues to progress according to schedule. Work will begin on the third phase of this project from Oak Street to the Vernon town line during the first week in April. The work involves lowering the hill and shifting the road to the south to provide better sightline and improve driving conditions. It is anticipated that new pavement will be applied sometime in the middle of June, and the entire project will be completed by early-September. During construction, there will be extended periods when each section of the road is gravel and has no pavement, or roughened pavement. Motorists are advised to drive slowly and use caution, and to seek alternate routes during construction activities. Access will be maintained to all properties along the road during construction. Project updates can be found by accessing the Town website at: For questions regarding this project, pleas call the Engineering division at 860-644-2511 ext. 344.
