Strong Road reconstruction

South Windsor - posted Mar, 29 2013

SOUTH WINDSOR - Work has re-started on the Strong Road reconstruction project. The work, to be done in two phases includes new drainage from Route 5 to east of Tomel Drive. The current work in progress is the drainage from Nutmeg Road North to east of Tomel Drive. It is anticipated that this phase will be completed by early summer. During construction, the portion of Strong Road where work is in progress will be temporarily reduced to one lane of traffic. There will be extended periods when a section of the road is gravel and has no pavement, or roughened pavement. Motorists are advised to drive slowly and use caution, and to seek alternate routes during construction activities. Access will be maintained to all properties along the road during construction. For questions regarding this project, pleas call the Engineering division at 860-644-2511 ext. 344.
