Symposium on aging

ENFIELD- The Enfield Commission on the Aging will sponsor a symposium of local officials and agencies that offer services to older adults in Enfield. The speakers will be Julie Evans Starr, executive director of the Connecticut Commission on Aging, and James Lisher, chairman of the New Canaan, Conn., Health and Human Services Commission. Following the program, there will be a question and answer session. The participants will then break into small groups to discuss the present programs in place for older adults in Enfield. The participants will also discuss what could be the future needs of older adults. Each group will share their results at the conclusion of the meeting. This symposium will be held on April 30 at the Enfield Senior Center, 299 Elm Street, Enfield, from 9 a.m. to noon.
