Art exhibit

WINDSOR — A mixed-media art installation of drawings and works on canvas by Insook Hwang will be on display in the Sue and Eugene Mercy Jr. Gallery from April 30 through June 17. The Mercy Gallery is located in the Richmond Art Center on the campus of The Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor. There will be an opening reception on Tuesday, April 30, from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. The public is invited. The Sue and Eugene Mercy, Jr. Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. There is no admission charge. Please note that the gallery is closed during school vacations. Born and raised in Korea, Ms. Hwang is now a resident of New Haven. She has had ten solo exhibitions in both Korea and the United States and participated in two major international exhibits. As an adjunct professor, she taught mixed media classes at Albertus Magnus College and the Educational Center for the Arts in New Haven.
