Bluegrass Jam on Main

Manchester - posted Apr, 22 2013

MANCHESTER- Do you enjoy the sounds of old time, folk, or bluegrass music? Are you a guitar, banjo, fiddle, dobro, or mandolin player and want to meet and get together with others for some picking? On Thursday, May 2 from 5 to 8 p.m., MCC on Main will once again host the monthly Manchester Bluegrass Jam where these musicians gather to inspire, play, and learn from one another. “MCC on Main” is the Manchester Community College Art and Education Center located at 903 Main Street in downtown Manchester. Please stop by to learn more, or bring your instrument to join in. This is an open jam and all skill levels are welcome. Please note the Jam will be in one of the classrooms, not in the Dehn Gallery. May 2 is also a downtown “Imagine Main Street” event - an evening of arts and activities from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Imagine Main Street’s mission is to incorporate the rich cultural and historic heritage of Manchester with a new and creative arts culture. Imagine Main Street is a collaboration of representatives of the Town of Manchester, Manchester Community College, the Downtown Special Services District, local business owners, non-profit organizations, artists and involved citizens.
