Annual plant sale

GLASTONBURY - The Glastonbury Garden Club and Evergreen Garden Club will team up for their annual plant sale at the Hubbard Green in Glastonbury, on the corner of Main and Hubbard Streets, on May 18, from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will be held rain or shine. Choice perennials, shrubs, trees, and herbs from member's gardens will be for sale. Several master gardeners will be on hand to answer gardening questions and make suggestions. In addition, Glastonbury Garden Club member Carol Quish, a program aide with the University of Connecticut Home and Garden Education Center will conduct a plant clinic to diagnose plant diseases and provide insect and weed identification. Gardeners are encouraged to bring their plants and/or a photo for a free diagnosis and recommendation for treatment.
