WINDSOR - The Windsor Art Center is hosting, Home Again!, a group exhibition of work by three artists: Lucia Liao, Art Scholz and Shannon Gagne from May 11 through June 22. The opening reception is Saturday, May 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. Gallery hours for the exhibit are Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. until 4 pm. The gallery is located at 40 Mechanic Street, Windsor. There is no admission charge. For information, visit: windsorartcenter.org or call 860-688-2528. The artwork will focus on images of home, including their home of origin, their adopted home, or their home in nature. Oil painter Lucia Liao was born and raised in Nankang, Jiangxi province, a small town in southern China. Liao will offer a glimpse of the ancient people living and working in this rural area during her childhood. Watercolorist Art Scholz paints landscapes reflecting his affection for his adopted home of New England. Scholz grew up in urban New York City, yet spent many summers working as a farm hand, providing memorable visions of farms and the rural countryside. Installation artist Shannon Gagne, a native and current resident of Windsor, explores her journey from house to home; interested in making connections between humanity and the natural world.
