BROOKLYN- The Brooklyn Historical Society presents "Women in the Civil War" on Thursday, May 16, at 7:30 p.m. at the Brooklyn Trinity Episcopal Church parish hall, located at 7 Providence Road (Route 6). Beverly York, Education Director of the Windham Textile and History Museum, will present an illustrated lecture about women who were doctors, nurses, soldiers, and spies, as well as those women who suddenly had to maintain a household by themselves while their husbands served as soldiers.
