MANCHESTER - The Earle Everett PAL Tournament will be held on Wednesday, May 22 at the Manchester Country Club in Manchester. Proceeds from this tournament will benefit the Manchester Police Activities League (PAL). Manchester PAL is a local charitable organization that creates opportunities for positive interactions between police officers, civilian mentors and children, all in support of youth success. Shotgun scramble time is 1 p.m. The registration fee of $150 includes the greens fee for 18 holes of golf; a cart; a hot lunch provided by Carrabba’s at 11:30 a.m.; an on-course cookout and snacks; and dinner. This year golfers from the Public Safety Community are invited to play in a special competitive division within the PAL Tournament in memory of Manchester Police Captain Patrick Reeves, a founding member of Manchester PAL who passed in 2007. The division is open to any team with a minimum of two golfers who represent the public safety community; active or retired. There will be a trophy; free entrance to the 2014 tournament; and other prizes for the champions. Sponsorship opportunities are many. Tee signs start at $100. Visit ManchesterCTPAL.org for easy online golfer registration and sponsorships. For more information call PAL at 860-645-5525 or visit ManchesterCTPAL.org.
