Oxenfest celebration

COLUMBIA- Please join in at Oxenfest, a celebration of Columbia's Agricultural Heritage on Saturday, June 1, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the historic Szegda Farm on Szegda Road, off Route 87 in Columbia. Enjoy agricultural historian Nancy Kahal's history and demonstration of oxen in eastern Connecticut. Included in the festivities are guided hikes through the property's trails, local exhibits of goats and sheep, blackshith arts, and a performance by a noted local folksinger. Some concessions may be available. Rain cancels the event.
