The history of opera

ENFIELD- The Enfield Public Library is offering a free seminar the History of Opera, Part 3, on Wednesday, May 29, at 7 p.m. presented by Mike Cascia, a lifelong opera enthusiast. Mr. Cascia will continue to trace the development of opera from the early 1800’s to modern times, and will illustrate how opera has become such a part of our cultural heritage. Participants will be treated to wonderful musical interludes from some of the best loved operas, including those of Verdi and Puccini.
