Time to license your dog

MANSFIELD- All dogs, six months and older, must be licensed in the Townof Mansfield during the month of June each year. If the dog was licensed the previous year, a reminder to renew will be mailed to you. For new dogs, a current Rabies Certificate from your veterinarian must be taken in or mailed to the Town Clerk’s office by June 30, along with the owner’s name, address and phone number. Include the dog's name, breed, color and age. Enclose a check made out to the Town of Mansfield for $19 if the dog is NOT spayed or neutered. If spayed or neutered, the fee is $8 and the verification of the spay or neuter from your Vet must be sent. The spay or neuter verification applies only to new registrants or to dogs spayed or neutered within the past year. Include a self addressed stamped envelope for the return of the Rabies Certificate and the new license tag. This can also be taken care of in person at the Town Clerk's Office, 4 South Eagleville Road; Storrs/Mansfield. A low cost rabies clinic sponsored by Northeastern CTAnimal Rescue will be held on Saturday, June 8, at the Eagleville Fire House on Route 32 Rt32/Rt.275 from 10 a.m. to noon. The cost is $10 per dog or cat (free if you have proof that you meet the low income guidelines for fuel assistance) Please have dogs leashed and one cat per carrier.
