Memorial Day observance

SCOTLAND- The Memorial Day observance in Scotland will be held on Sunday, May 26. The wreath laying ceremony will take place on the town green starting at noon. The parade will follow the ceremony on the Green, stepping off at 12:30 p.m. marching south on Route 97 from the town green to the Scotland Cemetery where the main speaking program will take place. Keynote speakers will be Raymond Hanley, Jr., Post Commander of the VFW Post 2096 in Madison, and Cheryl Hurley, Past District 4 President of the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW, a daughter of the Pearl Harbor survivor.
