Girls' basketball league

Vernon - posted May, 21 2013

VERNON - Stephen Krajewski, Assistant Director of the Vernon Parks and Recreation Department, together with Israel Caban, the Rockville High School girl’s varsity basketball coach, have put together a top notch, competitive summer basketball league. The league will be held at Rockville High School on Mondays and Wednesdays starting June 17. The schedule will be for 10 games plus playoffs. The unique part of this league is that towns have the opportunity to bring two teams: varsity and junior varsity to participate. Games will be on the same day, same time, same place. There are two gyms at Rockville High School. The fee for the ten-game varsity schedule would be $550; the fee for the junior varsity schedule would be $150, that fee is based on six or seven games. There will be an organizational meeting for coaches to discuss the rules and the procedures of the league and any other questions. The meeting will be Thursday May 30, at 6:30 p.m. at the Vernon Teen Center, 375 Hartford Turnpike. Please contact Steve Krajewski with any questions at 860-870-3520.
