ENFIELD - The next episode of “New England Cuisine” will be celebrating cheese as host Scott Sommerfield welcomes Jennifer Poirier from The Shepherd’s Gate in Holland, Mass. and Executive Chef Instructor Paul Montalto from the Lincoln Culinary Institute in Hartford. The acclaimed Shepherd’s Gate is a dairy goat farm that is owned and operated by the Poirier Family on property that has been owned for five generations for nearly 150 years. In this episode, Poirier explains how cheese is produced and discusses the various flavors; Montalto demonstrates how to prepare a melon and spinach salad with fresh feta and a penne pasta with grilled chicken and goat cheese. “New England Cuisine” is produced by an all-volunteer community crew at Cox Communications in Enfield. The show will air during the month of June on Cox Communications’ Public Access Channel 15 in the 10-town Enfield region on Wednesdays at 7 pm.
