THOMPSON- Thompson Recreation is excited to offer Mountain Biking this summer. Ride and explore the Thompson areas in sessions led by Rob Paton. The program is open to ages 12 and up. In addition to riding, there will be sessions on the basics of mountain biking, biking etiquette and trail stewardship. Bring your own mountain bike and helmet (required). A water bottle, with bottle holder or a hydration pack are required. The rides will be held on Thursday evenings beginning at 5:30 p.m., weather permitting, from June 27 through Aug. 22. Rides will end at 6:30 p.m. for the first 4 weeks and at 7 p.m. for the final 3 weeks. Meet at West Thompson Lake parking area. Pre-registration is required. Visit the website www.thompsonrec.org to register. Registrations received by June 6 are $12 for Thompson residents and $15 for non-residents for the entire summer. This fee includes a t-shirt. For registrations received June 21 or later the price increases by $5. We are unable to accept walk-in registrations at West Thompson Lake on June 27.
