Graveyard shift ghost tours
Regon - posted Jun, 14 2013
REGION - Reports of ghostly apparitions, mysterious bangs, cigar smoke and other unexplained phenomena have led The Mark Twain House and Museum to reprise its popular Graveyard Shift Ghost Tours for a very limited two-day run on June 28 and 29. The Mark Twain House has been featured on Syfy Channel's popular, "Ghost Hunters" and "Ghost Hunters Academy," as well as the Biography Channel's, "My Ghost Story." On these tours, participants will hear these creepy tales and learn about Mark Twain's own interest in the supernatural. Don't believe in ghosts? Decide for yourself on these after-dark visits to the Clemens mansion. An hour-long guided tour takes you through the main house, the Servants' Wing and down into the basement, normally off-limits to visitors. Tours are on Friday, June 28, and Saturday, June 29, 6 p.m., 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults 17 and up; $16 for members of The Mark Twain House and Museum; and an unlucky $13 for children 16 and under. Tours are not recommended for children under 10. These tours sell out fast, and are by reservation only. Call 860-280-3130 early to get yours.
