COLUMBIA- The Columbia Lions Club invites the public to participate in this year's “Columbia Fourth of July Parade." The theme for this year’s parade is “Monuments: Symbols of Freedom." The parade will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 4. Individuals, families, friends, and neighborhoods, come join in the fun! Build a float, decorate and ride your bicycles, or simply dress up and show your spirit! Antique cehicles are always welcome! Awards will be given for: Best Theme Float, Best Marching Unit, Most Artistic Float, Best Float Organization, and Best Decorated Bicycles. No campaign solicitations, for or against, any candidate, office holder, slate of candidates or political party of any kind will be permitted per the Columbia Lions Club. Please note, please use common sense and discretion in the use of water-dispensing apparatus. Water balloons are prohibited.
