Summer solstice celebration

GLASTONBURY - A Summer Solstice Celebration will be held on Friday, June 21, at 8 p.m., at the Connecticut Audubon Society, 1361 Main St., Glastonbury. Welcome in summer's light and warmth with songs, dance, stories, music and a huge bonfire. Learn about traditions used to celebrate the longest day of the year when the sun shines directly over the Tropic of Cancer. Light refreshments served. Cost is $5 for CAS members; $8 for non-members; $3 for children under 10 years of age. Call 860-633-8402 to pre-register and pay. Walk-ins welcome. This event is sure to be a good time for all ages.
