Classic western movies

WINDSOR - The Windsor Public Library will host Classic Western Movies during the months of July and Aug. Western film classics will be shown Tuesday nights; doors open at 6:30 p.m.; the films will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The programs are free. For additional information, call 860-285-1918. July 2: "Winchester 73," starring James Stewart, Shelly Winters and Dan Duryea. July 9: "Apache," starring Burt Lancaster, Jean Peters and John McIntire. July 16: "The Naked Spur," starring James Stewart, Janet Leigh and Robert Ryan. July 23: "The Far Country," starring James Stewart, Ruth Roman and Corinne Calvet. July 30: "The Man From Laramie," starring James Stewart, Arthur Kennedy and Donald Crisp. Aug. 6: "Two Rode Together," starring James Stewart, Richard Widmark and Shirley Jones. Aug. 13: "Bend of the River," starring James Stewart, Rock Hudson and Arthur Kennedy. Aug. 20: "The Searchers," starring John Wayne, Jeffrey Hunter and Vera Miles. August 27: "High Noon," starring Gary Cooper, Lloyd Bridges, Katy Jurado and Grace Kelly.
