Summer concert series

WINDSOR LOCKS – Windsor Locks Summer Concert Series will be presenting the following concerts. Unless otherwise noted, the concerts will be held on the lawn of Southwest Elderly Housing, Southwest Ave., Windsor Locks. In case of rain, all concerts, except the August 6 concert, will be moved to the Windsor Locks Senior Center, 41 Oak St. The August 6 Savage Brothers concert will be rescheduled, not moved to a new location. All concerts begin at 7 p.m. On June 25: Dennis Polisky and the Maestro's Men - polka. Location: Windsor Locks Public Library, 28 Main St.; on July 2: The Carribean Beach Bums - music from the 1960s; on July 9: Evolution -classic rock and blues of the 60s and 70s; on July 16: Simply Swing - a swing orchestra performing Big Band and dance swing era music; on July 23: Stealhead - a local jam band; July 30: Nicole Frechette and Monthei Brothers Band - country and bluegrass music; On Aug. 6: Savage Brothers - Windsor Locks’ hometown celebrities known throughout New England and beyond for their outstanding contemporary sound and versatile talents; on Aug. 13: Tirebiter - performing songs from an eclectic artist list ranging from 1960 to 2000.
