REGION - The Manchester Area Christian Women’s Connection is presenting Connecticut’s Ties to the Civil War, on Wednesday, July 10 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., at Adams Mill Restaurant, 165 Adams St., Manchester. The program will feature Matthew Reardon, executive director of New England Civil War Museum, who is a direct descendant of a civil war soldier. Reardon will talk about connections between local towns and soldiers sent to the battlefields. Additionally, speaker Hal Jensen from Skansatelea, N.Y., will present A New Heart and a New Life. Cost is $15 which includes a brunch buffet. All inclusive. Reservations for the brunch are essential by July 7. Gentlemen are welcome guests.
