Bookworm clubs

ELLINGTON - Hall Memorial Library in Ellington will have Bookworm Clubs for all school-age children this summer. Bookworm Clubs are for children who like to read or like to be read to. For one hour each week, children will share books with one another, through reading and discussion. There will be activities too, all keeping with the "Dig into Summer" reading theme. For children who have completed kindergarten through 2nd grade, their Bookworm Club will meet on Mondays, July 22, July 29, Aug. 5 and Aug. 12 from 3 to 4 p.m. For children finishing 3rd through 6th grades, their club will meet on Fridays, July 12, July 19, July 26 and Aug. 2, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Registration for all Bookworm Club began July 1. You may register in person or by calling the library at 860-870-3160. Ask for the children's department. All library programs are free and open to the public. For more information, call the library.
