Digital photography class

VERNON - Do you own a digital camera and want to explore new ways to take great pictures? Then this course is for you. The basics of photography including setting the aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, working with depth-of-field, choosing lenses, focusing and editing will be covered. Students should bring their digital camera with instruction booklet to class, along with photos saved as .jpgs on a flash drive. There is no prerequisite. Instructor Peter Glass owner of Peter Glass Photography in East Hartford. Glass also teaches photography in Continuing Education Programs and at community colleges in Connecticut. Class held on Tuesdays, July 16, 23 and 30, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Vernon Community Arts Center, 709 Hartford Tnpk., Vernon. Cost is $90; make check payable to Vernon Community Arts Center.
