WINDSOR - The following are children's events that will be held at the Windsor Public Library, 323 Broad St., Windsor. These programs are free; please register by calling 860-285-1914. Knights of the Round Tablecloth: For three weeks on Wednesdays, July 24, 31 and Aug. 7, from 2 to 3 p.m. - Students entering grades 2-4 can become Knights of the Round Tablecloth. Hear the story of King Arthur and the sword in the stone; make medieval crafts; play games such as Merlin’s Magic Potions; try some medieval treats; and go on a knight’s quest. At home, read a Magic Tree House book and a Time Warp Trio book about King Arthur, alone or with a parent, to discuss as a group. Henna Hand Painting: On Wednesday, July 24, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Children ages 8 and up are invited for an unforgettable evening of painting, dance and fun. Try Indian costumes and learn how to paint your hands with henna. Watch Me Grow Gardening Fun: On Tuesday, July 30, from 2 to 3 p.m. Children ages 5 to 8 are invited to paint a clay pot and plant a favorite seed or herb, listen to stories and explore the fascinating world of plants.
