Read-to-me program

Ellington - posted Jul, 03 2013

ELLINGTON - The Hall Memorial Library has planned a reading incentive program for children 3 to 5 years old. This summer, while older brothers and sisters are participating in Dig Into Reading, preschoolers will have their own version of this program to participate in. As mom or dad reads a story to their preschooler, the child will need to color a part of a picture which they have picked up at the children's circulation desk beginning July 8. When the picture is completely colored in, it will mean that you and your parents have read ten stories together. Bring the coloring sheet back to the library, give it to the librarian, and she will give you instruction to make a critter for our interactive bulletin board. This program runs from July 8 until Aug. 23; during that time, your critter will move from one borrow to another until he reaches the end of the tunnel where there will be a prize for you. For more information, call the library at 860-870-3160. All library programs are free and open to the public.
