EAST HADDAM- On Thursday, July 11, Andrew Borner, BNI member and owner/principal agent of Olde Liberty Insurance of Wethersfield, gave a presentation on "Commercial Insurance and Standard vs. E&S (Excess and Surplus Lines) Market Placement". Andrew is one of the newest members of the chapter and has already received numerous qualified business referrals from other chapter members. Andrew's key to success in his business is returning calls promptly, polite persistence and having the mentality that "Failure is not an option". The chapter, Referrals on the River, meets every Thursday at 7:30 a.m. at the The Gelston House Restaurant, 8 Main Street, East Haddam. Each week there is a member speaker presentation. Visitors are welcome to come to the meetings to hear the speaker presentations. If you would like to visit, please call the chapter Vice President, Scott Chapman at 860-269-3105. Remember to bring plenty of business cards to pass along. What makes BNI unique is that it allows only one person per profession to join a chapter. Thus, once you have joined, none of your competitors can participate. The next three Speakers to present are: Bonnie Yackovetsky, Lauren Gister and Estaban Garcia.
