Fun at the library

SALEM- The Salem Free Public Library offers the following program in August. Register for programs at 860-859-1130. Dig into Dinosaurs: Saturday, Aug. 3, 11 a.m. Listen to dinosaur stories and then create your own fossils in dough. Art Reception: Saturday, Aug. 10, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The library invites local artists to display their artwork at the library. The artwork will be on display until September. The library cannot accommodate many large works of art, but can display smaller pieces close to 11"x8" or 11"x14" size. the artwork should be framed with prices listed on the back of the artwork. Artwork will be accepted Saturday Aug. 3 through Friday, Aug. 9. Refreshments will be served. Fabulous Fossils, Radical Rocks: Saturday, Aug. 17, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. For all ages, free. This is the Summer Reading finale. Cake and refreshments will be served. Snakes Alive: Tuesday, Aug. 20, 1 p.m. With Jay Kaplan, Roaring Brook Nature Center of Canton. this is the summer's last program.
