ENFIELD - PaintCare Inc., the non-profit organization established by the American Coatings Association to implement paint stewardship programs, has established drop-off sites for leftover paint. PaintCare program products include interior and exterior architectural coatings sold in containers of five gallons or less. House paint, primers, stains, sealers and clear coatings are accepted. Aerosols (spray cans) and solvents are not accepted. Enfield officials are encouraging residents to visit the PaintCare Inc. website at www.paintcare.org/connecticut/index.php for specific details about the program. According to their website, Sherwin-Williams, 85 Freshwater Blvd., Enfield, is accepting leftover paint, up to five gallons, free of charge during regular business hours.
