Annual boat parade

EAST HAMPTON- On Aug. 10, the Friends of Lake Pocotopaug will hold its 35th annual boat parade and Sears Park will be open that day free to the public. Activities will begin at 9 a.m. The East Hampton Lions and East Hampton Village Lions will be serving food, in addition to Mamma Shanks ice cream and cupcakes by Cindy. Pink Zebra candles and Jordan essentials will also be available for purchase. Annette Howard will have a health booth, and Jenilee Wirtz will have a free child ID program available. Raffle tickets for the $10,000 prize will be available. A magic show will begin at 1 pm., and there will be games of chance.
