COLCHESTER- On Aug. 13 at 7 p.m., the Colchester Historical Society will hold a Grand Opening of its new exhibit featuring vintage images by amateur photographer, Earl Holmes. Following the opening at the Museum, the Colchester Historical Society will be showing vintage home movies also by Earl Holmes. Bring a lawn chair and the family to enjoy some movies circa 1930s. The movies will start at dusk on the museum lawn on Linwood Avenue (next to and with parking at Cragin Library). Ice cream and popcorn will be served. The event is free and open to the public. This exhibit includes rare photos of Colchester events and its citizens. It will remain at the museum through the end of the year. The museum is open every Saturday from 1-4PM and features several other permanent exhibits depicting the rich history of Colchester.
