Doofus music at the Farmers Market

ELLINGTON - Doofus Music will be performing at the Ellington Farmers’ Market on Saturday, Aug. 10, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The quartet of John and Heidi Cerrigione, and Neal and Coleen Walters play a simple brand of old-time acoustic music. Instrumentation typically includes autoharp, hammered and mountain dulcimer, banjo, guitar, mandolin and acoustic bass. All four Doofs have years of experience teaching and playing with other groups, as well as writing and editing books and articles about folk music, including their specialty - old time music. The concert is free and open to the public.
