EAST WINDSOR - The Second Annual Bike Ride For Sight, the Tour de East Windsor, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Sept. 28. The Tour de East Windsor is a non-competitive, community bike ride that takes place over the low-traffic, rural roads of East Windsor and Broad Brook and benefits sight-related causes supported by the Lions Club. There are three ride options: a six-mile route designed for families, children, and less-experienced bicyclists; a 30-mile route designed for more experienced riders; and a 17-mile ride option for those who don’t wish to ride the full 30-mile ride. Each of the rides start and finish at the East Windsor Town Park on Reservoir Road. Early Registration fee of $15 remains open until Thursday, Aug. 15th. After that date and until Sept. 27, the day before the event, the registration fee increases to $25. The registration fee on the day of the ride is $30. The East Windsor Lions Club is pleased to announce that the former New England Bank, now doing business as United Bank, will again be a major sponsor of the Tour. Joining United Bank as major sponsors this year are the following East Windsor businesses: Family Dentistry, Geissler's Supermarket, and Stanton Equipment/Stanton Motors.
