SOUTH WINDSOR - The South Windsor Community Service Group is hosting a Monte Carlo Whist event at the Charles N. Enes Community Center on Tuesday, Aug. 27, at 6:30 p.m. Cash prizes will be awarded; home-baked goodies and refreshments will be served. Cost is $4. Proceeds will benefit the many projects of the community service group. Walk-ins are welcome however, registration is requested for planning purposes. Transportation is available. Register in the Human Services office. Internet Safety and Keeping Your System Virus Free - Online transactions can be intimidating and many people are afraid to use their computers for fear of having private information stolen or compromised. Yet, people are being forced to bank, pay bills and perform financial transactions online, as companies attempt to lower operating costs. Learn what a computer virus is; how to keep your computer virus-free; and how computer hackers get access to your personal information and what can be done to stop them. Steve Mastrianni, PhD, with 30 years experience developing software for mainframes, desktops, tablets and iphones, will be at the Charles N.
