Move to the music
South Windsor - posted Aug, 12 2013
SOUTH WINDSOR - Move to Music is a dance exercise program held at South Windsor Senior Center for people who enjoy moving through easy dance routines, mixed in with simple exercises and stretching. The class uses show tunes and popular music from the 30's through 60's, and includes work on coordination and balance. This program is designed specifically for mature adults who would like to use dance movement as a way toward better health. It's a chance for those who may be a little rusty, or who may have never been to the gym before. It is also an excellent way back to activity for baby boomers with injuries or dealing with everyday aches and pains. Class members have fun and keep moving, but each person is encouraged to take it at their own level. The class resumes in September on Tuesdays from 2:15 to 3 p.m. The eight-week class session is as follows: Sept. 10, Sept. 17, Sept. 24, Oct. 1, Oct. 8, Oct. 15, Oct. 22, and Oct. 29. The cost is $32 for new students. Try one class for free.
