GLASTONBURY - The following are events happening through the Riverfront Community Center, 300 Welles St., Glastonbury. For more information, call 860-652-7655. Nature’s Art Village, Montville on Friday, Sept. 6. Leave RCC at 10:30 a.m.; approximate return to RCC at 3:30 p.m. Cost is $12; includes transportation a half-hour tour. Enjoy a day of exploring at Nature’s Art Village. Explore over 30 life-sized dinosaurs; get lost in a MAZE-asaurus; take your picture next to one of the life-size dinosaurs. Enjoy lunch on your own at Cobalt Café where you can choose pizza, veggie or tuna wraps, hot dogs, fountain soda, coffee or other beverages. If you like mysteries, geodes are available. The cost is your own. Most geodes contain clear quartz crystals, while others have purple amethyst crystals; others can have agate, chalcedony, or jasper banding or crystals such as calcite, dolomite, or celestite. September’s Summer End Dance on Thursday, Sept. 12 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Cost is $8. Special ticket required; includes meal and entertainment. Tickets available now at Riverfront Community Center / Senior Services. Dial-A-Ride available. A good ole fashion end of summer bash. Start with boneless ribs with the fixin’s; potato salad; mac and cheese; green salad and dessert. Then it’s music and dance with Dave Mindell providing music from Sinatra, Elvis and so many more.
