After-school clubs

Colchester - posted Aug, 14 2013

COLCHESTER- Each year, Jack Jackter Intermediate School offers four six-week sessions of after school clubs. These clubs offer the opportunity for all 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students to develop and pursue a variety of interests. There are many activities to choose from which challenge critical thinking, along with diverse athletic and artistic abilities. Based on a recent district-wide parent survey request, JJIS will now be teaming with the Colchester Park & Rec Department to offer a wrap-around child care program following after-school clubs! After-School clubs will continue to run from 3:15 until 4:15 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays. Parents will also be given the option of signing their child up for additional child care services with the Colchester Park & Rec, following after school clubs from 4:30 until 6 p.m. A homework, yoga and ceramics session will be offered during the first after school club session. More information will follow soon. If you or someone you know, has a special interest or talent that you would be willing to share with our students, please consider advising a club. You may contact Debbie Mientus at JJIS at 860-537-9421 (ext. 313) or by sending an email to her at
