Benefit concert

HEBRON- Friends, family and the community will come together on Saturday, Aug. 24 to hold a ‘Concert in the Park’ Fundraiser to benefit the Dapsis Family of Hebron. This event will be held from 4-8 p.m. at Burnt Hill Park in Hebron. Ross Dapsis, much loved husband, father, son, friend, coach and owner of the Something Simple Café in Hebron was in a bicycle accident. The accident occurred on June 1 and as a result of the accident Ross sustained a serious head injury. He underwent emergency surgery and was in Hartford Hospital’s ICU Unit for 4 weeks. He was recently transferred to Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford where he is receiving therapy services and continues to make progress. His injuries will require long term care. Rattlebone, a classic rock and blues band, will be the featured artist for the event. Also providing musical entertainment will be other local talents including 66 EAST; The Cafe's very own: Jason Castonguay; OFF LIMITS unplugged and By Chance. In addition to the music, we will also have games for the kids, prizes, and food with all of the proceeds from this event going to the Dapsis Family Fund. Tickets are $10 per individual and $25 per family. Tickets can be purchased at Ted’s IGA or the Savings Institute in Hebron. They can also be purchased the day of the event.
