Coats for Kids

EAST HARTFORD - East Hartford Health and Social Services will be holding sign-up for the Coats for Kids program, on Wednesday, Sept. 11, between 9:30 and 11 a.m., and 2:30 and 4 p.m., in the lower level hallway of Town Hall, 740 Main St. This program provides a limited number of new winter coats to East Hartford children between the ages of 5-12 years in need. All applicants must apply in person and provide: proof of East Hartford residency - photo ID with current address, current bill or current rent receipt; proof of current gross monthly household income including current budget sheet from DSS, for cash assistance only; dates of birth for all household members - long-form birth certificates for household members under age 18 and proof of guardianship/custody, if applicable. Applications will only be accepted on this date and times. No applications will be accepted over the phone. Funding for this program is generously provided by the East Hartford Rotary.
